OSAP operates on a rolling admissions basis, and so there is no strict application deadline. However, we advise applicants to complete their applications, and submit supporting documents, no later than three months prior to the start of their term. Prospective students should remember, though, that one crucial benefit of the OSAP program is our ability to accept students very close to the start of term – sometimes within 2-4 weeks. Once the online application has been completed, and all supporting documents submitted (see this page for Associate Member status requirements, and this page for Registered Visiting Student status requirements), the OSAP Academic Office, in the case of Associate Members, and the Oxford college, in the case of Visiting Students, will contact the applicant with the application decision. Decisions for Associate Member applications are usually reached and communicated to the applicant within two weeks of application completion; decisions for Visiting Student applications are usually reached and communicated within four to six weeks.
Successful applicants will be posted a lengthy acceptance packet which will include important information about their term in Oxford, including arrival instructions, housing information, and tutorial information.
